| . | Dr. Jan Palmer graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. In 1990, Dr. Palmer received a Masters Degree from Colorado State University in Pathology and Biomechanics for work in the field of fracture healing. After working in private practice for two years, Dr. Palmer spent one year in the Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In 1994, Dr. Palmer received a PhD in Veterinary Clinical Sciences From The Ohio State University for research in equine cartilage biomechanics and biochemistry. In 1997 Dr. Palmer completed a 3 year equine surgical residency at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. In 1999, Dr. Palmer was certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons as a large animal surgeon. Dr. Palmer founded NW Equine Surgical and Medical Center in September of 1997. NW Equine merged with Pacific Equine in April 2001 to form Willamette Valley Equine. |

| .Dr. Joseph Teshera graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983, and started practice in White Salmon, Washington at a mixed animal practice. In February 1984, he moved to Portland, Oregon where he started his career in equine practice at the Pacific Veterinary Hospital. In 1988, the Equine portion of Pacific Veterinary Hospital was split off and became a partner in Pacific Equine Services growing from a 2 doctor ambulatory practice to a 4 doctor ambulatory and limited surgical facility. In 2001 the practice expanded and merged with Northwest Equine Surgical Practice, building a state of the art referral equine hospital. He is currently involved with the ambulatory side of the practice, and although engaged in all aspects of equine practice, his major emphasis is on equine reproduction, including embryo transfer. He is also an adjunct member of the Washington State University faculty as an instructor in the College of Veterinary Medicine Preceptorship Program. |

| Dr. Saunders graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada in 1991. Following graduation, Dr. Saunders completed a Large Animal Medical and Surgical Internship at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario in 1992. In 1993, she joined Pacific Equine Services in Tualatin, Oregon and has been practicing in the Willamette Valley ever since. In 2001, along with partner Dr. Teshera, Pacific Equine Services merged with Northwest Equine to build Willamette Valley Equine. She is an avid dressage rider, and although involved in all aspects of equine practice, her primary veterinary interests include equine sports medicine and lameness in performance horses. |
